It would be beneficial to have an overview window when creating manual tie points that shows a 2D ortho view of the surrounding area for easier photo verification.
We have sUAS projects that cover wooded and water body areas and it might be several hundred photos later when the next overlap pass occurs. The Potential Matches Tool is nice if the photo is calibrated during the AT process and tying other calibrated images. However, when the photos are not calibrated, it is very difficult to distinguish potential tie points that are not in a continuous string of photographs.
We currently have to bounce back and forth between the 3D View tab and the Surveys Tab to see what the potential range of photos for a particular tie point could be.
Having something like a limited function 3D view window that was only a 2D view with the capability to select photo points from the window (much like how you're able to select the photo in the 3D View Tab and it selects the photo in the Surveys Tab) would be a great enhancement to our workflow methods.
