Need workflow in Contextcapture to directly colorize LIDAR point cloud after aerotrangulation like in Agisoft. Colorizing in Editor works only for DTMs which is not accurate enough in case of vertical structures.

It is more on behalf of our users.
>Could you please elaborate a bit the complete workflow that would need this feature ?
Colorize point clouds from photos as mobile scanners produce uncolorized scans or static scanners have low-resolution cameras which produces bad colors. This is needed for faster workflow.
>Is the colorized point cloud the only delieverable you will create out of ContextCapture ?
Yes in such workflow it is Point cloud and orthophoto from simple grid mission. The full cycle by producing model and generate point cloud from model is wasteful and also cause less accurate point cloud as it is not possible to not use AT points. Generated point cloud also loses intensity and classification.
>How frequently would you have uncolorized lidar point clouds ?
Every time a mobile scanner is used.
>Is that in the context of drone lidar acquisition ?
Bingo. They scan large areas so can't take photos for complete and accurate 3D model and also need to colorize large thin structures which is not possible by DTM colorization process in Descartes or CC Editor. POD files uses the separate colorize file so no need even to do any POD file editing. Without such feature Contextcapture is not competitive.
Hello Oto,
Could you please elaborate a bit the complete workflow that would need this feature ?
Is the colorized point cloud the only delieverable you will create out of ContextCapture ?
How frequently would you have uncolorized lidar point clouds ?
Is that in the context of drone lidar acquisition ?
Thanks,
